Can Tho University College of Aquaculture and Fisheries supports both academic and practical training in aquaculture, with dedicated laboratories for live-food culture, including systems for Artemia, rotifers, copepods, and Moina. It also houses facilities for aquatic animal nutrition, feed technology, water quality, physiology, and microbiology. The university is promoting the integration of Artemia with artisinal salt producer cooperatives in the Mekong Delta, producing high value cysts, achieving top market prices. Can Tho University is innovating in promoting the use of Artemia biomass for human food.
