Profile

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is a specialized UN agency founded to lead international efforts in eradicating hunger, improving nutrition, and promoting sustainable agriculture. Headquartered in Rome, FAO works with governments and partners to develop policies, provide technical assistance, and build capacity in areas such as food security, fisheries, forestry, and rural development.

FAO is a member of the International Artemia Aquaculture Consortium's Advisory Committee. FAO recently published the new Manual on Artemia production and use.
