INVE Aquaculture

Profile

INVE Aquaculture develops Artemia-based hatchery technologies, tools, and protocols for fish and shrimp production. Their Artemia-focused innovations include techniques for efficient hatching, specialty cysts, biosecure handling (such as diapause termination and bacterial control), and enrichment through bioencapsulation. Notable technologies include:

  • SEP-Art tools (HandyMag, Cys 2.0, AutoMag) for magnetic separation of nauplii from cyst shells, improving hatchery hygiene and yield.
  • D-FENSE formulations to control bacterial growth during hatching, enhancing biosecurity.
  • SMArt protocols to optimise hatching performance by reducing sensitivity to light conditions.
  • A line of live-feed enrichment products for Artemia nauplii (liquid and dry formats) used to enhance nutritional profiles pre-feeding to larvae, as detailed in INVE’s enrichment catalog.

INVE maintains dedicated R&D infrastructure, including the Artemia Knowledge Hub and Hatchery Technology Centres, to test and validate these solutions under hatchery-like conditions.
