The Artemia & Aquaculture Research Institute at Urmia University conducts research on Artemia biodiversity, conservation, nutrition, enrichment and processing technology. The institute is known for studies on Artemia urmiana and its response to ecological changes in Lake Urmia. It also engages in applied research and provides technical consulting on Artemia production and aquaculture practices, supporting both academic and industry partners.
